Heirloom Christmas

Joy was found around the piano when friends & family gathered for Christmas.  You to can enjoy the sounds and tastes of Christmas when you tour Wildwood House for FREE on Dec. 3.  Then step into the fancy Ware Tea Room for some delicious treats and tea at a minimal charge of $5.  Relax and visit.  Soak up the ambiance of a Victorian style Christmas from 1-4 on the first Sunday in December.  This year be entertained as Tammy Partsch plays the 1883 Steinway.  Special guest is Luke Partsch playing the French horn!


Friday the 13th Candlelight Tour of Wildwood

his  This is your chance to tour Wildwood after dark.  Doors open at 7:00 on Friday the 13th of October.  Guides in each room will give you a small treat and tell you some trivia about Friday the 13th & Halloween.  Afterward enjoy more treats & hot cider in our Fall Tea Room.  $5 per person.  Rare chance to walk through dimly lit rooms of Wildwood on Friday the 13th!

This event will end by 8:30 so you can also attend the Paranormal Class at Mayhew Cabin.


Civil War Reenactor Encampment

Come tour Wildwood House.  We'll be open and hope to welcome you during the Civil War Reenactment the first weekend in Oct. 

The encampment will be just across the road.  Talk to Confederate & Union soldiers or the camp followers.  See the tents, how they cooked, what they wore and of course their weapons.  Witness a battle but plug your ears! 

Wildwood will be open from 10-5 on Oct. 7 & 1-5 on Oct. 8.  Shop for souvenirs in the Gift Shop located west of the House.  Both buildings were built during the 1860's.   


Wildwood Star Party

View the night sky through the 1850's telescope.  Visit with area astronomers & look through their telescopes to see the stars, constellations & planets.  Learn & have fun.

FREE event for families & friends starting at 8:00 p.m. on Sept. 23 just south of the Wildwood Historic Center parking lot.

Come see why people had such a good time the last 4 years.  Be part of the 5th annual Wildwood Star Party!Ellen Ware lived at Wildwood during the 1800's.  One of her hobbies was astronomy.  One star she mentioned was Arcturus.  You can see it too! 


Market at Farm to Fork

Wildwood wil be joining other vendors in the market space next to the Memorial Building in Nebraska City on Aug. 20 from 1-5.  Pictured are  just a few of the items from the artists at Wildwood. Join the fun and find a treasure for you or for gifts.
