Celebrate America 250 by slowing down and trying your hand at the oldest known quilt pattern. In this workshop style class at Wildwood Historic Center, you will take a tour of our Quilts Across Nebraska Exhibit in our historical house, learn the history of crazy quilts, enjoy a picnic lunch in the Victorian Garden and how to make one of your own.
Things to know:
Sign up and pay at Wildwood Historic Center
No experience necessary, but experience is welcome
Ages 13 and up are welcome.
All supplies are supplied. You are welcome to bring your own special/sentimental fabric, ribbons, trim, buttons, and beads, etc..
Bring your lunch and we will picnic in Wildwood’s Victorian Garden if weather permits.
No machine sewing – only hand stitches so bring your favorite little basket, symbol, fabric, scissors, and alike or use one of Marcia’s.
You will most likely leave with an unfinished project; however, Marcia will be available via phone, text, email or in person after Saturday for more assistance to finish your project if you desire.
